About Me

Dr. Chaunté Garrett

Servant Educator

Chaunté Garrett is an instructional leader with building and district level experience in transforming schools. While teaching, she led at-risk students to high levels of achievement. At the district level she designed remedial and accelerated curriculum, developed and implemented instructional initiatives, helped to develop district policies promoting teacher quality and student access to opportunities and supported teachers and administrators in closing achievement gaps, increasing growth and achievement; resulting in schools no longer being designated “low-performing” by the state. She led in the personalization of learning through blended learning as an elementary school principal. While sharing her research locally and nationally, she currently serves as a chief academic officer in eastern North Carolina.
Dr. Garrett’s Mission:
To ensure a quality education for every student in order to enhance their access to opportunities as contributors to the Global Community
